Nature motifs are one of my biggest sources inspiration, taking different elements found in the natural world and applying them to my own designs.
About Me
I’m a Minnesota born and raised artist with a love of nature which has always been present in my life and later I started to incorporate it into my designs and artworks. I started out with practicing using natural elements such as organic forms and color and slowly worked my way up to the style and technique I use in my work. Like how I found my art style, my go to color palettes have evolved from warmer and bright colors to more muted earthy and neutral colors, along with cooler tones such as blues and purples.
Along with graphic design, ceramics has become a fond hobby of mine which I discovered during my studies of becoming a graphic designer. With ceramics, I've enjoyed the imperfections that come with building something by your hands. I notice with much of my work that I don’t stray away from the theme of nature and creating organic forms, quite like my design style.
As an artist, drawing has been a lifelong skill & hobby I have been building for over 10+ years. A stark difference between my drawings and my ceramic pieces as well as my designs is that my drawings are more structural, I don’t start a piece without fully observing my subject. Whether it’s alive or not, my attention to detail is painstakingly accurate to what I’m trying to create.
Overall, I’ve been an artist for a good chunk of my life and I’m now starting a new chapter in my life with graphic design, a new way to incorporate part of myself and my art style into designs.
